Diocletian’s Palace - This amazing 1700 year old UNESCO World Heritage Site that occupies an area of about 30 000 square meters is the centre of the Old city and the place you’ll spend most of your time while in Split.
It is entertaining enough to simply wander around the tiny cobbled streets and explore all the corners of the town: Jupiter’s temple, Vestibul, statue of Grgur Ninski, the palace’s substructures, St. Dominus Cathedral and bell tower which was originally the Emperor’s mausoleum... The Peristyle of Diocletian’s Palace is fantastic place to sit down on the steps, marvel at the architecture and imagine yourself during Diocletian’s time.

Riva

The famous promenade and the place to be. The Riva really comes alive in the early evening when Split’s residents and visitors enjoy strolling up and down; enjoy the view of the boats in the harbour, and sipping drinks at many cafes and stands on the sea front.

Bačvice Beach & Picigin

Sandy beach located in the bay, 5 minutes from the ancient Diocletian’s Palace. Very popular game here is picigin: designed for playing in shallow water players maintain small ball in the air as long as they can. Look how the locals do and try it out!

Marjan Hill

The green lung of Split that provides astonishing view of Split, the islands and the harbour. You can swim on the many beaches, take a nice panoramic walk along paths under the shade of pine trees or do some sport.
