Bol - Zlatni rat , the island of Brač

Bol is situated off the southern coast of Brač and it is the island's oldest coastal settlement. Wide sandy and pebbly beaches stretching for tens of kilometers and numerous springs of drinking water have made Bol the first tourist oasis on the island.
Its seafront promenade leads to the long Zlatni Rat beach. To the west, the Dragon’s Cave contains a 15th-century chapel with carved wall details. Nearby, the Blaca Hermitage is built into a steep cliff. East, the 15th-century Dominican Monastery houses Croatian Baroque paintings. Inland, Vidova Gora mountain offers panoramic views of the coast.
Special tourist attractions of Bol are wine cellar Stina, Dešković gallery of contemporary Croatian art and a Dominican monastery - Tintoretto. Zlatni rat, the most famous of Croatian beaches, is located on the west side of Bol. It is recognizable by its pebbly half a kilometer-long cape, that changes its shape and position depending on the wind.
